Family 1st May 1st Robbery!

Yes you heard me. [tag]First Robbery on First May 2007[/tag]. On [tag]PapaJoneh’s First Non-Working Labour Day[/tag] with my Family. This bugger decided to take his annual leave and robbed me early in the morning.

Check this picture. This is the scene when my wife got up early and went down at around 6am. What a SHOCK! All doors open. Toilet, rear door and even the grilled door! How this possible!!?
image here: @ 6pm, everything opened!

MommyJosh immediately ran up[yes she ran up the stairs together with our 5 months baby twins in the stomach, to wake me up!]. I was like blur blur and but funny never thought it was a dream. I sprang up and ran down passed my wife to see the horror as pictured above. I immediately shout, Oh NO!!! “Nah kan. Sudah bilang mau pasang kamera!” [translated as: Told ya, we should have installed the camera!]. Yea, I know stupid of me. As if the camera can help!

I went to the living room. What a shock again. Nothing happened or missing. It was like, aikkk, tiada apa-apa pun hilang[strange, nothing missing??!!] Phheww. The TV’s there with all the Astro decoder, DVD players and even our new Epson Stylus printer. My Desktop PC is still there, so what’s missing? If nothing missing, whats the catch here?

After thorough checking, well, the [tag]Blardie Bastard Burglar[/tag] stole my cash and coins from the Fengshui boat.

image here: Nothing left, every coins and some real cash gone!
All gone. It only amounted to around RM50 to RM60, I think so, but how in the world he knows that. Even my relatives and parents do not know i put there. Further check confirmed, he stole my new pair of leather shoes and MommyJosh new Perfume, like 3 bottles in total, costing around RM350.

Check the rear grilled door padlocks. Nicely put on the cloth.
Image here: the rear grilled door padlocks

Now here the interesting part. The Hanger tool again. See how creative this bugger. He even got time to tie it up all nicely done and used all my materials. That’s the tent pole i put at the back of the house.
image here: hanger tool again!

Police came around 7:30am after contacting the [tag]Penampang Police[/tag] [tag]Hotline number 088 712222[/tag].
image here: police came at 7am

Now, here the interesting part. There’s a house behind mine that is under major renovation and every day, obviously the workers there can see what we are doing here. Police noticed about this and will do the check later on.
image here: suspected buglar hideout!

Had one blogger, robbed just one week ago. Now its my turn. Yes, “Pasang lampu terang-terang(brightly lit up) also” and even with all the grill installed, but still broken into. What more to say? Just fated. I am glad while all this ordeal, [tag]MyJosh was asleep soundly[/tag]. The End.

Aiyoh. Thank God they did not do anything further than stealing coins and perfume. Looking at those photo’s, they must have taken time to stay outside your house while doing their Mc Gyver thingy….
Good idea. Get a dog at least. It will be the first line of defense…
What’s important is that the family is alright.

Aiks, scary lah. Now, I wonder did the buglar read Cedric’s blog and learn the modus operandi? I know lame joke, just to keep Papa & family smiling after all the trauma. Lucky they only took the small stuffs and not ransacked the whole house terbalik. Or worse.. :???:

Anthraxxxx, yes soon. like very soon.
Lilian: Thanks. Papafamily ok. they did ransacked a bit… but only downstairs… didn’t get the shot. Police asked not to touch anything while they do the CSI thing. so forgotten to take the pic.
Now, MommyJosh really worry when im out working.

Sorry to hear about the robbery, PapaJoneh. Yeh, I think it’s a good idea to have at least TWO dogs in your home. Get a German Sheperd and a Labrador is possible.

But dogs also no use. Back home in KK, we have 2 dogs, Rottweiler lagi, and still those bugger could sneak in and put “jampi” on us, everyone tidur mati and they have all their sweet time to open up our bags (this is happening right BESIDE US while we sleep). They managed to get away with some jewelleries and RM30k cash. *sigh*

Papajoneh, I’m sorry to hear what happened to you. Well after that incident that occurred in my house, we fixed 4 surveillance cameras and also ALARMS, which means whenever someone tries to open something, the vibration will cause the alarm to rang. So I guess after this you need to consider some safety steps for your house. Sorry to hear that anyway!

    Hmmm~ It all seem well-planned.
    Dogs, can’t really do anything.
But hey, they bark and it will alert you, might even scare the burglars away~

I’m going to get i-robot~

Thanks everyone. Now Papa is fully awake. Installed new locks. just in case he’ll be back with friends. Installed magnetic alarm at the doors, windows. Any opening triggers the irritating sounds of the alarm. Installed mock red blinking LED along with mock camera, for the time being. I hope it will be last time.

Sad to hear that. Luckily noone was harm. I had a similar experience 2 years back.
My house grill was forced opened and they ransacked my ground floor. My loss much more. 2 handphones, 2 notebooks. At that time my alarm was out due to lighthing strike.
Suggest that you fix alarm. Better protection.

Gaman, thanks for dropping a comment here. So far no policeman feedback yet. But Im sure the intruder will die of choking later on… or probably already dead as at typing when he used my fengshui boat money to buy food.
Azmeen, yes, thanks. safety first. as at now, im still awake at 3am, online, watching tv on 2nd floor while keeping all my ears and cricket bat ready.
Jewelle: Thank GOD we were all ok. Thinking back, quite scary that MommyJosh is the one who gone downstair first to check the house.
Kween: never thought of that  but good tactic nevertheless

A little nontech trick my aunt used to do when we lived in the islands..Her door opened inside and it was the kind that has a couple of brackets on either side of the door frame and a wood beam goes on it to prevent anyone from coming in. She had a coffee can with some pennies and small rocks inside that she would put on top of the beam every night. If someone were to try to open the door at night, the can would fall making a loud noise. Might be the least expensive option out there.
