Football: Manchester United is Closer To The EPL Title

Manchester United is closer to the Barclays English Premier League (EPL) Title than ever with the score 0-1 win over their biggest rival, neighbour Manchester City at their own homeground. It was The Professional Footballers’ Association and Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo, the man that spearheaded MU in the 33rd minutes penalty.
The interesting part of this penalty is of course due to Manchester City’s defender, Michael Ball. Now, he actually had escaped punishment for the stomping he did on Ronaldo’s chest on the early 2 minutes. Could not blamed referee Rob Style. Sadly, must have been out of his eyeline. But as always, crime does pay. Ronaldo got the penalty from the same player and converted it to the right side of City’s goalpost.
Mu Manager furious over the stomping. It can be seen in the big screen replay.

Michael Ball, the guilty one…

The 8 points lead does make Chelsea life difficult. They have to win tonight’s match against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium to stand a chance. All the best to Chelsea. They need it as Arsenal definitely no sympathy for them. If somehow Chelsea wins against the Gunners, it could be down to Wednesday’s match against MU at Stamford Bridge. Now, this is the match you definitely do not want to miss.

Woooooooot!
Champs League heartbreak is still evident in me, but getting the EPL (and perhaps the FA Cup as well) help soften the blow.
Glory Glory!
Goodluck to the red club of Merseyside in their meeting with the club from San Siro.. I’m sure it’ll be a cracker!
