The previous one week I would say has been the craziest, heart pumping excitement and most memorable moment, of all weeks in my life. Not only the weather department wrongly reported there would be a big thypoon coming to our beloved Land Below The Wind Borneo but also the office management never stop asking me to come to work even on weekends. So when is actually my off day with my family?

Well guess what, it is just after the day where the actual tropical storm gone back to its hiding. It fell on Thursday’s afternoon right after the wind has calm down. I panicked when I woke up so early at 7am which I thought it was my working day. I was so glad that my son is still there hugging my leg as his pillow. Wife was nowhere to be found. She probably downstairs fixing breakfast or something. With the hangover still there, I feel so heavy. There was nowhere I could have stand up with such condition. I surrender to myself. I gone sleeping. If I not mistaken, I dreamed of Hawaii. I dreamed of playing my radio control trucks with my son on the beach. So wonderful. So peaceful.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, as usual, the hand phone rang, the music “Everyday I Love You” filled the air. Surprised and still blur that was my wife’s calling id. I picked up and heard, “Dear, I am downstairs ready to go. Aren’t you supposed to wake up now? It’s 1pm already. You promise to bring me out to look for our home furniture, remember?”. At that instance, I sprang up like a released absorber and look at the Astro decoder standby time. It was indeed at 1:08pm. I have wasted half day of my life satisfying my over limit hangover. That was definitely not the way to enjoy your family time. I tried to reason with myself, at least my son hugged me and I did dreamed of Hawaii. So it was not totally a wasted time, right? But how come, deep down inside, I still feel guilty?

recliner chairI actually had promised my wife earlier to bring her to look around for a chair, a reclining chair of some sort, so it is easy for her to relax her body while watching TV or taking nap. She’s after all pregnant carrying already 3kg weight in front of her. She need this kind chair. Not so expensive but practical. Believe me, other than the expensive osim, the only practical chair with the reasonable price tag is this one from homeandliving.com. I wonder if they would send all the way from USA to North Borneo?? If not, well, my wife just have to be satisfied with the plastic blue red chair. Even this type is not easy to find. I drove all the way from Kolombong to KK and back to Penampang, not a single furniture house selling them. They all said out of stock. So what’s next?
