Am I spoiling my son?

Author Papaadmin August 3rd, 2007 | Viewed 412 views

This is just some of the messy scenes that I’m getting used to at home whenever my son is around. Its kind of normal environment already. But sometimes when you are tired, just came back from office and this sight in front of you… well, to be honest, sometimes, it does gets on your nerve quite fast. :P

Josh play things - messy picture here!

Check his car’s collection. That’s just one of the containers. You people have not seen inside the store room some more. And the RC nitro monster truck, buggy and truggy that I used for racing… yeah, that’s his too.. inheritance the word? Whatever lah.

And I just bought him this one again today during my late lunch break … the price was RM96.90 at Karamunsing 3rd floor. I just couldn’t help myself. Am I spoiling my son? This shop is so attractive, like there was a magnet somewhere inside the shop. Furthermore, it has some very cool toys inside. Actually I was looking for the wireless router for my home wireless network, but somehow I was ‘wasted’ in this shop. I end up buying for my son this “Fun and Game Playground” with 50 balls included. Man, my Josh loves balls very much. Crazy is the right word here. Any round object is a must for any toy for him. Obviously, I didn’t get the wireless router. Well, he is my number 1 priority of course [even wife complained].

There, he is already enjoying it. I think my investment paid already. :D Anything for him of course.

But, wait…. check this picture….

Josh favourite small car picture here

He still prefers this small offroad buggy vehicle. I just can’t figure it out this boy. Oh well, as long as he’s happy, I am happy. :D

All this happened at 9pm to 01:30am(next day) , he asleep now, so I can finish this post at 3am. Best kan jadi Papa ;) LOL. So to those who still has no child, bah enjoy lah kamurang. Bagussss.

*** Oh ya, today at 9am I’m working again. So wake me up early ok. Yesterday was late to work like half an hour late :P

Hehehe! I thought I was seeing my own house. No worries Papajoneh, you’re spoiling him in a good way, few years from now he will remember all that you’ve done for him and that he had the most enjoyable and best childhood ever!

Hahaha! Looks like my ROOM!! I see our boys have the same Lightning McQueen car! Who can resist?? Just yesterday, I spent RM108 sumthing at KK Toys.. He wanted the Optimus Prime Classic Voyager. That alone cost me RM99.90. And he got a cheapo car for RM9.90. After discount, the amount above was what I paid.

My brothers say I spoil my son too much. But in the case of Optimus Prime, my brothers ended up “berebut” playing with it. Every 10 minutes I hear one of them saying “Uncle’s turn again”. LOL!

After yesterday, I told him no more. Skali today, got him another Matchbox plane and helicopter. I think it’s the guilt of having another baby coming along.

P/s: At karamunsing last week, he wanted the exact same thing. I said “Wait for daddy to come back”. Hehehe. Boys will be boys. Toys will never be enough.

It’s only fair that you’re giving him what you feel appropriate. I’m guilty of this too. And I have one son as well (but you’re gonna get a set of twins, I’m so happy for you!).

I do let my son know that with all the toys he’s getting, he must also manage them well. Keep those that he’s not playing with and when he’s done playing, keep it all back in the proper place.

If he doesn’t then they all go to the bin! Fortunately, he heeds the warning and I haven’t needed to throw away any of his toys :)

I just read in one of the parenting blog that it is good to teach the kids on how to be responsible to place back the things they have taken. This might help. Talking about being spoilt, I guessed you did spoil him a bit. All I had when I was a kid were Lego and some soldiers.

Gosh…the toy market nowadays do really know how to attract children and even some adults ***blinking at PapaJoneh*** hehe :P
