How is life treating you?

You know when you are alone at home, and you tend to think back everything especially the moment that embedded deep in your heart. One of those moments, was about my study mate back in Kuching Sarawak. He was and he is for me, one of my real best friends and I will never forget him, no matter what happen to me. OK, unless I got the Alzheimer disease (touch wood), than nothing much I can do there.
Seriously, he was the only friend I have that really cares about me. Maybe you all did not know this but I do come from a very poor family. Imagine the cost my parents had to bear so that I can study my diploma far away from home. The flight fee alone to Sarawak already cost one month my father’s salary that time. My mother had to work as a house cleaner to three different houses just to support us all. I have three brothers and two sisters. Now you know.
Anyway, back to my friend. I said he is still my best friend because you know what; he supported me all the way from day 1 to the end of his study. I mean he treated me breakfast, lunch, dinner, and nearly everything that needed cash. Yeah, he even paid a few times my course papers. I am so much indebted to him. He was not even from my own Sabahan group or a Sarawakian local. Nope. He is from Peninsular Malaysia, state of Kedah to be exact. A Malay person with very religious parents.
Sadly at the end, I found out that he was in this drug rehab program back in Kuala Lumpur. I was really surprise when the news came to me early this year. I never thought that he would end up as a full time drug addict. I knew he was taking some kind of pills or liquid back in the college time but I did not see any side effect on him. He scored quite well on every paper. The news really hit me. I just hope he will be all right and I am sure his mother would be crying a lot because he is the only child they have. I hope the time my friend spends in the rehabilitation will fly faster for them.
As I always said to my other friends, life is brutal. It can swallow you just like that if you are not careful. Stays close with your family, pray always and May GOD hears all your prayers and is with you always. Amen.

oh my… now that’s some really bad news… such a good friend you have there papajoneh, and i guess if god permits he will need much of your encouragement too.
agree that drugs can ruin a person’s life in just matter of days… never go into drugs. period.

This is a lesson, we all need to know…say no to drugs…I hope ur friend recover papaJ…btw, when are u going to blog about ur twins…

Life is always full of the unexpected. When you thought you know a person well, you least expected that in the end , he turned up to be another person under that disguise. No matter what, he was the person who boost you to where you are now. He does need all the support to get out from the ruin he is in now. Do not forgo him.

sorry to hear about your friend.. Glad he’s in rehab and hopefully when he comes out clean, he is still accepted in society and not ostracized by friends and family…
