OK, this is not my usual rambling but i think its worthy to be posted up here or in this case, anyway possible so that the message gone through everyone out there. I was not ready to post anything coz I am running here and there while blog hopping my old list but this post is different. Thanks to my friend FL Sam, for posting this at his “Simple Life blog”. Here i direct copy and paste. No editing, the best way to get the message as it is.
I received this email from a friend about this new tactic use for carjacking. So Beware.
Heads up everyone. Please, keep this circulating…
You walk! across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
You start the engine and shift into Reverse. When you look into the rear view mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car hacker’s appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.
And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.
So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity is now compromised!
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.
If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away.
Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail.
I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women.

Or you could just be more careful.
Before I get into my car I:
Look for anything fishy, like signs of break-in or other damages
Check the front of the car
Check the back of the car
Check the tyres and the area that surrounds it
Take a peek inside to see that there’s nobody waiting in there
Maybe I’m just paranoid.

Another excuse why I don’t like to drive alone. Most of the time, bf will become the chauffer.

Hot papa, great that you share this with your readers. Better be safe than regret later.
CarJacking in Klang Valley is on th rise. Even among my friends, a few of them already got hit.
One is a real estate agent, and her BMW got hijack hwne she show her potential customer the property at Bukit Rimau Shah Alam.
One is a freight forwarder, his Honda Accord carjack along the Kesas Highway.
Another one who stay in Bangsar, the carjacker come to the house and his BMW 5series drove away.
Maybe in KK, it is more safe.

I just noticed that you used the term “car hacker”. It’s supposed to be “carjacker”.

Thieves are getting creative. Bugger. Always best to carry water gun filled with chili, and also a hockey stick with an electric zapper.

That’s why my friend in KL always always opts for valet parking when she’s alone. Never mind the expenses.. just as long as she feels safe, she says.
What if you take the paper BEFORE you get in the car, would they ambush you, i wonder…

Put stickers like ‘Polis Diraja Malaysia’ or something on your windscreen. Get a police uniform made and just place it on a hanger and hang it at the back where it can be easily spotted.
