My journey back home in style

I am in a roll here. The previous post makes me wonder, fly back to Kuching where I studied my long forgotten qualification, Accountancy. Yes, I am a qualified accountant with background of auditing, kicking other employees who misused company’s money and assets. I had my fair share of hate-you friends and of course including those you-better-don’t-come-here-again friends. I did all that before I am stuck in this computer dept for more than 12 years of which no single paper to show that I know a thing about this wonderful creation, the personal computer. That is the true story of me. Now you know.

Now, let us talk about Kuching, Sarawak and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. On my final year, after I somehow passed all the papers even without the help of the previous post helper, it was time to go back home sweet home. Now usually you will get into the airplane, that time only MAS available, and in 2 hours or so, you already landed safely on the KK International airport. However, here the interesting part; I followed the “Feri Malaysia” cruiser. Yes, it was still available that time. To my young reader here in Malaysia, you probably thought cruises only applicable in other countries like in the USA where they brought around the Bahamas and the Caribbean Islands. Well, you can get that cheaply of course, in the cruisecheap.com but that is not what I am talking about here. I am talking about our own Feri Malaysia.

That time, if I not mistaken, I paid around RM120 equivalent to USD35 to board the Feri Malaysia. At that price, it was actually a very cheap way to travel. Especially if you are as adventurous as I am and love the sea. The trip took about two days to reach the shore or port of Kota Kinabalu. I was fully awake when we passed the Pulau Gaya and the sea of Karambunai. I never forget the moment until now. To cut the story short, I missed our Feri Malaysia and I hope we are going to have our own cruise in the near future. Traveling by airplane is no longer the style I longed for. I miss you Feri Malaysia.
