Wife, what do you want, eh?

You know after the many withdrawals I did and after treating the kids some needs, wife started to bug me with this question, “Dear, when is my time. Josh, Preston and Presley has their own things, what about me? Anything for me from your Internet Money?”
So I asked her, “what you do you want?” This is the funny part for me when I asked such question to my wife. She usually blur, no direct answer. She most of the time said “Up to you, dear. You buy me something special or anything just as long it is from you.” I said alright you said so ok. I usually end up buying her things that she does not really like. Hahaha. Of course she did not say directly to me. She is after all a very sporting wife. She just said, “Thank you, dear.” Somehow I found out later that she actually did not like it but to “ambik hati” me, she just accept with forced smile. Haha.
So, I decided to give her surprise on my next withdraw a big sparkling designer inspired jewelry. We will see whether she like it or not. Or probably, I need some other things here. Girls out there, what usually you want? Wife, mommies, what do you want from your husband? Don’t tell me another kid ok. I fainted you know.

I think take her for a holiday away from the kids, even for a night or two, will be a blessing! So far, hubby took me away for a holiday a few months after I gave birth to enjoy lah konon - been doing that for both our children.

Hmmm…just pretend that I am wearing skirt here…haha. Both comments up there sounded fine too, including your idea of giving her that piece of jewel. Get her something that she will really need. Maybe something that she can “show off” in her office that it’s from her lovable hubby? It could be a scarf, bracelet, or maybe a pair of matching watches for both of you? No matter what you give, it’s the heart that matters.
On top of that, what women need is the recognition of being appreciated. A simple gesture of saying “I love you” with a rose in the hand, a kiss to show her how much she has done for the family with “thank you”, or some wild “I miss you” stick-on memo all over the house, a hug in the morning with “Morning Darling” or even a surprise breakfast in bed with the message “It’s your day off!”
Women love surprises on and off. It do keep a relationship strong and filled with everlasting love. Gosh… I’m talking as if I’m in love here too.. hehe

Jewelery will be nice. A ring/bracelet with a bouquet of roses and a note saying ” i love you”. Send it to the office as a suprise gift. Of cos not the jewelery but only the flowers as a start.Big suprise at home.

Both Jewelle and Anggie have good ideas but I think a lot of ladies would also love what Criz Lai mentioned about how ladies just loooovvee to be appreciated and loved by their men!!
Give and show lots of TLC and of coz jewellery or even a “bling bling” aka “dimon” present won’t do any harm too as it will definately put a big smile (from ear to ear hehe..)on her face!! That is if your dear wife loves jewellery la…Nah abis la ko pokai lagi!! Ba rajin2 buat PPP

PapaJ…when MamaJ asked what will you give her, i really think she meant something tangible lah tu. Nice, lasting jewellery is wonderful.
i like the thought of giving angpau but MamaJ wont feel the surprise of being given a gift.
i agree with Criz about the gifts…being practical and something to show off to others…haha…ketara me like that oso.

BTW, you can also observe closely on your wife’s likings e.g. does she likes accessories, handbag or shoes…or does she has any special hobby tht she likes..or does she enjoy pampering herselves like a day of self pampering in a spa? All those can gv u some hints on what to buy her as gifts
Take note on her dislikes too so u know what NOT to give her hehehe…ba good luck!! ;p

My husband once posted me a sudoku puzzle book from KL. Even if it isn’t expensive, just the mere gesture that he took the time out to do that for me was really touching.. and I love him more for that!
