Pictureless Hari Raya outing

Yeah, another great posting here on my applied public holiday. As you all know my Hari Raya visiting day is not as cheerful as previous years due to my mom admitted to the hospital ICU. Nevertheless, I still managed to go out for awhile to my sister’s house in Papar. A 30 to 35 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu.
Now, the most interesting thing about driving to and fro Papar is the houses decoration on both left and right side of the road. Especially near the Beringgis Resort right up to the Buang Sayang village. I especially like their home lightings. I found out later from my sister that the villagers over there are actually having a competition every year on every Hari Raya celebration. No wonder they are all so nicely decorated. Some of the houses even look like a castle or the Malay “Istana”. Sadly, I cannot stop to take pictures. I hope some one will in the future.

ishhh…sayang i didnt follow the papar road when coming back from Keningau…if not i oso can see the Raya lightings on those houses

Beside the homelightings, during raya time is the best view to drive pass Papar road especially night time where you’ll witness ‘perang cucul’ means war of the home made pelita.
Sori fren.. No raya open house for this year as I’m back to wife’s kampung. Maybe next raya my turn here, I open for everyone..
