Remember the day my mom got sick, and the moment she got well, instantly drove back to Kampung? Well, they were here at my home recently for 3 nights. They were at my home to prepare for her painful fasting so she would be ready for her Colonoscope procedure.
The preparation actually started at 5 days before the procedure as stated in the instruction given by the pharmacist at the hospital. So, throughout these 5 days, she were suffering a lot. The instruction said no meat, no hard food, no iron, no egg, no vege blah blah blah. So all those days, just eat porridge with nothing except rice inside the bowl. Pengsan man. Well, on the 3rd day, I said to myself, this is too much, so I said to mom, just eat the chicken floss buns. At least she got something inside. However, I reminded her to take waters in gallons. Yes, this is important actually. You need lot of water to cleans your colon and be prepared for the colonoscope procedure. So kesian my mom have to go toilet many times in a day. Anyway, the day before is the most important one. She has to take the 3 packets of which I forgot the name already, together with 1 litre of water. Now this 1 litre of water need to be finished in 2 hours. The instruction said take at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. After all this, no eating just drinking pure white water. Meaning no color one. Total fasting until her appointment at 8am, the next day, on my special day. Pengsan man!
What an appointment it was. Right on All Saints Day on my special day too. Lucky it was my off duty day. So, biasalah, I was the one driving, assisting her to Hospital for the Colonoscope procedure.
We reached hospital as early as7:30am.
My father and I waited outside this door.
Some of the warning signboards around the area. When you were really boring, you take snapshots of everything!
See, even my father cannot just sit down. Either he was nervous or just plain boring. So need to walk around.
Here, I caught the cleaner with a very interesting gadget or tool at her back. At first glance I thought she kind of look like the Ghost Buster or something
At this time, I was really cannot take it. It was already 2 hours passed and my Mom still inside. So I walk around the area of the hospital. Wow! I found this Taman what.. Terapeutik!?!
I am not sure what time the rain started to fall but I do get wet walking around.
So, it was not a very good day I thought if I am spending my special day in the hospital like this. I decided to ram inside and ask the nurse or doctor. Right at around 11:45am, when I just about to budge in, my mother walked out and feeling dizzy. She seemed to be OK. I thought it never over. So I went to the counter asking for any medical or something from the doctor. The nurse just informed that the next appointment would be in 21st January 2008 and guess what, no medicine or anything. The doctor said, my mother is well and perfectly all right!! Thank GOD for this. I thought my special day were bad, it was after all a good, better, best day for us all. Well done Mommy! Tak rugi berpuasa 5 hari kan [the fasting has not gone wasted after all]
I was so happy that I said to my mom, we gonna lunch like never before. I said that because we have not eaten our breakfast yet and damn we were hungry – especially my mom since last night! To cut thing short, we took our lunch, “tapau” back two set of lunch for wife and Josh at home. Wife so kesian have to stand back to jaga the twins and Josh. She is really a super mom. By the time we home, she already bathed the twins and even Josh. Yes, Josh the ever “no way” to everything you asked of him. I guess that is my wife’s gift on my special day. Thanks Dear!
Lastly, here a picture taken early this morning just before we go out. I think even my twin2, Presley knows her grandma is all right and smiling again. What a nice shot! Wish my camera is a good one.
