“Do you want to play golf or not?“, that is what my brothers keep asking me. I am not sure whether I have told you all that I have three elder brothers who are as crazy to golf as I am to radio control racing.

So this kind of question usually pop out when we have our not so often kind of family gathering. They are often if not always, asked me to follow their kind of relaxation. However, I always tell them I am not interested and I am not really into hitting ball all day long under the sun and rain. Now, with this statement of course they fired me back with this, “So, you racing your truck or buggy not under the sun, meh (local slang expression)?” I said that is different. That is pure adrenalin rush

Guess what, to avoid this minor argument between us, which sometimes can lead to finger pointing minus the boxing, I just have to put up the white flag so to keep the harmony in the family. After all, I am fighting a losing battle here – younger brother against the taller and bigger three elder brothers. Sure havoc.

To cut thing short, they end up lending me their spare “PING” golf set and a weekend to train me. The day arrived sooner than expected, I was hitting ball on the driving range or is it the grass, I am not sure now. However, one thing that led me to abandon this golf thing, is the unending laughter they gave me when they see my golf shoes. It was my sport shoes, the “Brooke” that they laughed at. Don’t you just hate it? My Brooke sport shoes are no cheap one. It cost me around MYR300 plus, you know.  Grrrrr..
