When you love someone, you just do anything. You do crazy thing. I wish I can do what Clark can do, turn back the clock and restart again.

Turning back time to set things right would be ideal for just anyone. Even if there is an easy access to a time machine, it would not be recommended at all. If everyone were to do that, then no one will ever learn through his mistakes. Everything happen for a reason. The reason is to let a person climb up again with whatever barriers he will face in life and be stronger in the future.
When you love someone truly and deeply, it does not always mean that honesty will be the best medicine. Some will accept it and some will not. Some will laugh it out and forget. Some would be hurt and remember.
Relationship would not always be a bed of roses. Until and unless both were able to go through any stormy and wavy seas to reach a place where there would be calm water and beautiful beaches and hold hands together to continue the journey of life.

You will learn from whatever happen and whatever is meant to happen will happen. Just remember to never just give up. People go through rough situations all the time and come out better people and a better couple for it. Hang in there.
