Hello everyone? This is just a short update on my radio control nitro gas powered car qualifying rounds on Saturday 26th January. However as always, thanks for the good luck and best wishes from some of you. Thank you. I guess some of you probably have prayed hard for me to have good result. Thanks.

OK, Saturday qualifying round has just finished. I was in the 1/10th scale Nitro car class with 60 racers from West Malaysia, Sarawak, Brunei and of course all throughout Sabah. We also have the F1 of RC, the 1/8th scale with only 30 racers participated.

The 1/10th class was divided into 6 groups and I was in the 2nd group. Meaning at around 9:20am, my qualifying heat started. Guess what, I came quite late and only reach the track at 8:30am. Well, biasalah (normal) for a father who have to send kids to nanny and wife to work. Anyway and somehow I managed to prepare my car and warm up the engine just in time for the first qualifying round. In short, the 1st round, as before, DNF - Did not finish race.

Well not because of broken parts or what, the car ran out of fuel on the very last lap on the very last corner. Damn Shui man! The qualifying round is only 5 minutes and my new engine ran out fuel!

1st round: 13 laps in 4 minutes plus. Top racers made 14 laps in 5 minutes.
2nd round: Got my 14 laps - top ten racers made 15 laps.
3rd round: Managed 14 laps only but got the record best lap time in my group 2. One guy from KL made 16 laps and at the TQ (Top Qualifier) position. He is a sponsor driver of Serpent.com.
4th round: Used new tires. No grip. My car keep swaying left and right, like the fast and furious drifters but somehow managed to maintain the 14 laps. Sadly cannot break the 15 laps.

At the end of four rounds of both nitro classes, it already 5pm. The qualifying rounds were done for the day. So what is my final position? Well, ladies and gentlemen, nothing to be proud of but nothing to be ignored too - I got my first ever breakthrough in my 5 years of racing on and off nitro on-road (I am a hardcore off-road rc racer by the way). I got right in the middle of the pack. My last nitro on-road was at 2003 and I qualified at the F-Main, meaning at the 60-70th position!

For this race and tomorrow final, I will be in the C-Main, meaning in the 21st to 30th position. I am at the 22nd position as at this posting. We will have another round of qualifying this Sunday morning at 9am and only afterwards we have our Final rounds. Waaaahhhh and I am still here typing all this at 5am!

As some wise men said when you are on the roll, might as well roll forever! I just created that myself. Hahaha. One more thing, if you like to gamble, don’t gamble your life and of course don’t use your money staying in the expensive hotel, go for the cheap hotel Las Vegas so you have enough money to bet on the poker table. Hahahaha.

Now, where’s that coming from? Thats for Papa’s fan leisure reading Hahaha. OK, I better prepare my car and engine. Charge the receiver and transponder batteries and start early on the track. I forgot. Wife also bought me the new Novarossi engine, made in Italy, just so I can join the HMS Racing 2008 Race this weekend. yes this weekend that is why I am so panic now

There it says, not for kids. This is a serious built radio control engine. Imagine the fastest F1 only max around 16,000 plus RPM but this engine can reach up to 41,900 RPM!!! :shock:

There, almost done as at today except the damn receiver batteries which are dead already!

So if you all reading this early in the morning of Wednesday, I already, probably on the way to the HMS Racing speedway track to run-in my engine and hopefully the needed practice. I bet all the racers from Brunei, Sarawakian and even a few from West Malaysian are there already too. Damn man. So guys and gals, around Kota Kinabalu Sabah, if you are interested to see the big boys racing their RM5000 worth of radio control car, come visit the track. Now of course, the compulsory ads for you all. I would love to have that not only for my wife but also for Josh and me. We still do not have the damn water heater in our house!!!

This is my breakfast wife prepared while I was so busy catching time to finish it on last Sunday. I woke up so early on Sunday while everyone still asleep. And Yes, the sausages all finish with the help of my son Josh and a single sausage to wife only. Hehe. Jahatkan. *** wife said: She kenyang already bah.

Anyway, last weekend was my off days and I thought I was ready to bring the new car to practice at the HMS Racing Speedway Track but as always, NOT. Everything not ready yet due to time installing it. Usually I can do this type of assembly in no more than 6 hours complete ready to run. Those time were when the Twins were not around yet. Sadly, being Papa with no amah around is totally not the right time to start racing my hobby again.

Yes, this is the unfinished Serpent Kit on my office’s table. I bring it so I can finish and got enough time to do the rc engine break-in | run-in and some practice. Yes, the dept manager knows about it too. He even asked when is the race question. Haha. So sporting kan

Blog oh blog, this is why I am so busy. I am so sorry that I have not been updating you as frequent as I should. You keep reminding me not to push you last year. Especially during the pee-pee-pee mania time. You keep urging me to stop doing that so that your ranking would not be affected but obviously I did not listen. You are page ranking zero now

So reluctantly, I follow your advice lah. I gave you many days holidaying without my intervention and even updated you to the latest version. I even let you go during my off days from work. So now you know. Moreover, you are lucky my blog. Wife decided to keep me busy again so that you can take your blog holidays more often than you should.

Yes is that morning again where I not being myself, sprang to life at 4AM due to the lovely alarm installed at home. Yes, Presley, Twin 2, with eyes still close shouting for his required feeding. Pengsan!

He is again a very the slow one drinker, aiiiyooohhh. You knowlah, drinking while eyes closed. Hahaha. Anyway, he’s done and back to sleep. What about me? Well, as usual I wanted to sleep but cannot. So I decided to just hang on, turn on the Astro and watch Discovery.. wait is it Supersports? I am not sure now. No one awake to be the witness! No early exercise too

At around 6AM, i decided to just take make myself the required coffee ‘kaw-kaw’ and hang out in the toilet. Now the best part of this why I wanna start writing at this early morning is because the moment I got when I was out of the toilet. Man, this is why I love being a Papa. The moment I step out of the toilet and turn to face our bed, there, the most nicest and wonderful face, smiling at me, yes smiling at me, like been waiting when his Papa gonna come out from the security of the toilet. Hahhahaha. Yes, it was my Twin 1 Preston, smiling! Now even though his eyes, you know the eyes of just awake person, ‘bengkak’ (swollen) like look, he still managed to make the best smile for me. I wish I can capture it. It brought tears to me that I have a kid, as sweet and as cute and as the best smile early in the morning - while the rest still, fuuuiiyyooohh still asleep.

To cut it short, wife awake, gone cuci kain lagi and ready to go to work, we, Preston and I, end up watching the early Football Forecast. Coool. I got the picture of this one but later on. Today is my off day I still have to send my wife to work. So see you all later. Muuuaaaahhhh!

If I just too weak to do everything, even to go up my my bedroom, I probably just listen to this expert from James On Medical, install the stair lift and ride on it without any physical requirement. There, I just saved myself from going “Kaput” on the stairs to heaven my bedroom tonight.
