What?!? We are still married?

Yes, we are still married! JPPmom and PapaJoneh are still married after eight (8) years marriage and three (3) years engagement as at today 25th May 2008, we are still together. What wonderful years I have. Truly remarkable feat for a guy who always thought he would never found a girl who really love him for what he really is. Inferior Complex.
I used to hate girls during the secondary school at SM All Saints and that was why I joined Boy Scout. I focused so much on outdoor activities that I end up as one of the 1st K.K. Certified King Scout back in the 1987. I thought I did fine until I saw all my boy friends have their own girl friends. So boring. I felt betrayed sometimes but life goes on and after so many trial and errors in relationship, I finally found the one who really love the inside of me and not the ‘outer layer’.
Yes I was a chain smoker, short and not even handsome. Not to mention, never excel in anything academic and what more in sports … except in Cricket where I represented my school and Sabah state to SUKMA. I was and maybe still the awkward one. Where everyone play football, I just watched them. They played Rugby, I played Cricket and became one of the top Cricket Bowler. They joined Karate and Tae Kwon Do, I joined Tang So Do and learning Jujitsu. I was and maybe still the weird one. Maybe that is why no girl likes me. Don’t mention about love. Love hurt me so many times already. Yep, been slashed and smashed hard before and I thought I retired early on all this LOVE stuffs. I thought I was dead many times already. The pains were just too much especially if you were just loving one sided only.
Until I met this girl. The one girl where her hometown Penampang was one of the top district in my late grandpa list to avoid! Yes. The advice, “Do not get married to a Penampang girl. They are very expensive girl to marry! That was the advice and if you ask around, my late grandpa actually had a valid point there. LOL.
Anyway, yeah. I am happy now. I have a lovely wife who cares so much of me. Who always there for me. Always. I am actually proud to have her as my wife. Obviously, she is smarter than me but sometimes I wonder if she is smarter than me, why is she still here as my wife and mother to my 3 little boys??? Is that what you call love? Is it? I guess the term “Love is Blind” is true after all. 
Oh well, I am happy of course she is still with me. I know she loves me more than I can chew. That is why I love her so much too. Today on 25th May 2008, is our 8 years wedding anniversary and I am so happy we are still together. We may not be rich at the moment but we are happy together. Especially with our lovely twins, Preston and Presley and of course our Hero of the Month, our elder son Josh Luke who is celebrating his 4th birthday just a day after our wedding anniversary, 26th May. Happy Birthday in Advance my Josh. Don’t worry my Josh. I know you keep reminding Mommy about it but Mommy has a big birthday party surprise for you later on. You just wait ok. For now, it is Mommy and Papa Wedding Anniversary Day! 
To this I end, I just want to say, I know not poem or any sweet loving words. I just know, I love you dear very much and I hope we can be forever in love for eternity. Amen.

Papajoneh & jppmom…we are the lucky ones…I am forever thankful to my lucky star for what God has bestowed upon me…a loving husband who loves me for what I am, come what may and 3 beautiful gifts from heaven…enjoy your life…enjoy each other…
