Yes, i show you all how to drive your vehicle with your driving licence expired. Are you ready for this? This is no illegal act just pure knowledge I want to share. I just did it yesterday to prove my point on this. Are you sure you want to know more? If you are, keep scrolling down.

Hahaha. You are interested eh? Well, to be honest, if I translated it correctly the above title on how to drive when your driving licence is expired, the answer is easy. So so easy. Just drive like you do not know that your driving licence is expired. Like me. I just found out last Sunday that my driving licence has expired since May!

LOL. Cool eh. Yeah I had no worry driving my car around the town and even drive up to Mt Kinabalu National Park Resorts last Kaamatan (I story telling later, kio). Even passing all the road blocks and JPJ staffs without any hesitation. Just cool driving because I know my car road tax is still valid till August. I never once thought about my driving licence expiry date. Until the day before yesterday when my wife asked about it. All of a sudden, I got scared driving. Cold sweat. Even any small traffic jam I thought the JPP staffs doing their checking. I immediately turn around and find another route. Apalah!

I finally renewed it yesterday at Tg Aru Post Office. I renewed for straight 3 years. Of course, I will forget about it too. It’s 2011 man. Still far ahead. No matter what, I am just happy I finally renewed my driving licence. I am so happy yesterday that I even took our kids’ nanny out for a spin. Yeah, we even went far up to 1Borneo where even I got lost in looking for the parking space, I just smile and just u-turn.

So, what’s your experience on driving licence? Have you ever got scared of going out after you knew about it or just ack macho like nothing happen but deep inside you like matiiiiiii lah? Please share with your comment here :D

Just a few days back, while riding back from work.. there was this road block around 2am ++. Mine was expired in May this year..!

So what I did, I gave him my road tax (which was attached to my bike keys), gave him my IC and also the expired license all in one go. He just glanced thru and let me go..

Thank God… but I still haven’t renew. Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow or something..

I know im lucky but there was once i was not that lucky, i was stop and asked where is my license but i made up a story sayin that i forgot to take it as i just changed and transfered everything to my new purse. I left my license in my old purse and guess what? The police man bought my sepuluh sen story …LOL!!! Since then, i decided to take up driving lesson and get myself a valid driving license! :D

Do you know that whether you get stopped by JPJ/Traffic Polis road blocks often depends on the driver’s attitude when the driver arrives at the road block. I have noticed this over 20 years when I am not the one driving.

When the driver arrives at the road block, if you windows are not rolled down by half (especially if it is tinted), driver wearing sunglasses and not taken off, music blaring away like a disco, no smile but a gloomy frown etc, I guarantee the officer will ask for your driving license. It does not matter if your road tax is still valid. My take is that since you are behaving in such an action manner, the officer will make life difficult for you, slow your journey down etc.

But if you arrive at road block with a smile, sunglasses off, music off, window on driver side rolled down, internal light switched on if at night, 99% of the time you will be waved off. And you can laugh at the action-gundu who is still at the road block whom the officer is still reading his driving license one alphabet at a time.

    Try it. It works.

Lawa lah Mel!!!! KK tiapa juga ini di KL man!! Chun la you!
My experience was when I was driving along the coastal highway ada roadblock during night time, this was when I was 18yrs old ka.. no lesen. So I quickly asked my friend behind to take off my jacket.. LOL! So that the police officer/JPJ will be so distracted to stop me *wink* So I just smiled sweetly and he smiled back and let me go.. ha,ha,ha.

PapaJ : Ko bagus lagi 1 month… Jali 1 year and a half for his license and roadtax I think like few months like that la.. I even drove to & from work with a couple of months expired roadtax last year.. didn’t even notice.

My friend’s punya story is different, before he reach to the point where the police traffic stops his for checking, he took out his wallet and slide it under his car seat and when they ask for his driving license, he pretended that he had forgotten his wallet and apologies to the police traffic. hehhehe… trus kana kasi limpas and the police traffic told him that lain kali ingat ah hehehe…
