I got nothing personal against Mac users. It’s just that personally, I think if you go with the Cult of Mac, then you literally sell your soul (and probably those of your kin) to Steve Jobs.
First it starts with a Mac PC (or notebook), which one will purchase almost totally because of cosmetic reasons (”Wahhh! So beautiful!”).
Then he’ll discover that he will need software to get things done. More often than not, these will come from the good folks at Apple Inc. Once you walk this path, there’s no going back. You’ll spend more than 80% of your software purchase expenditure on one company: Apple Inc.
It doesn’t stop there. For us non-Mac people PC fairs might throw us a deal or two. Mac people will soon discover that all the “good stuff” can only come from Apple Inc. They’ll drool when Steve Jobs hints at releasing some unknown gadget next month… and they don’t even know what it’ll be. All they know is that they just have to get it!
When buying a Mac, you’re not just buying a PC… you’re buying a lifestyle. Soon you’ll realize you need to keep on buying in order to sustain that lifestyle.
But hey, if money is no object… by all means, get a Mac and let Steve Jobs run your computing life for you
BTW, about the Mac not being susceptible to viruses. That’s just marketing hype. Mac virus “infections” have been reported since 1982.
I may sound like a Mac hater… heck maybe I really am. But my intentions are clear… If you want a pretty computer and an expensive lifestyle to go along with it, go ahead get a Mac.
If you want computing freedom, then seriously reconsider.

PapaJ : Hait!! A’ai Boss!!
Azmeen : Yo! Azmeen.. Wai’nah! panjang butul komen you that! Hmm.. as a mac user I put it dis way, I don’t really care what uncle steve + uncle bill are fighting for, I just enjoy myself using Mac computer. PapaJ, in case you didn’t know, you can run Windows on Mac and I actually use both Mac + PC..
Chill out! Azmeen.. after all it’s just a piece of technology we call computer ba!

PapaJ, I think you really need a long break from your blog like did last time…about buying Mac, Azmeen and eshark really put up their words here…actually, it is up to us as users to choose…like Azmeen, he really point out which side is he in…likewise for eshark…me, like you also…budget is the problem…I just want to try the piece they called irreplaceable Mac…come to think of the matter, Stevie and Billy is have the same motivation, domination…Stevie in hardware as in Mac and Billy in software as in MS Office…did I make any sense?

eshark: Just my opinion. But of course there are times when I would recommend that the person get a Mac… that is when he/she is using it primarily for graphics work.
July 7th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Azmeen: Yup! agree with dat one, Mac is actually best for graphic person, and dis case ere, PapaJ is a game person (tahap kaki), so PC is da one best for him la. ha! ha!

Thanks for the comment guys. I already make the research and I know what I will do later. For now, I’m just thinking other things than my Josh’s school thing. Now, thats really the problem in my life.
Peace to all mankind.
Just to stir the topic again.
PC or Mac.. I want both!
