Yes, Lee Chong Wei, Chong Wei Lee, whatever way you call his name, he is in the Badminton Semi Final of the Beijing Olympic 2008 China. I am so damn proud that he is a Malaysian. Malaysia Boleh!
Man, everyone, each of us, all shouting. Yep, the Twins also. Josh while doing his coloring schoolwork, wife and I, all shouted, “Chong Wei, Chong Wei, Chong Wei!”. Twins jump up and down. Man, the excitement, the anticipation, everything - including running to the toilet, all for our hero, Lee Chong Wei. All worth it. All for Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh!

Now, we wonder how much Lee Chong Wei will get if (when) he finally get the first Gold in Single Badminton? Hmm. How much or what item is the question? Any idea anyone? Will it be traveling the cruises around the world for life? Naaaaaaaah. Don’t think so lah, right.
** update: Lee Chong Wei will face Lin Dan from China in the Final.

Pity Squash isn’t recognized as an Olympic sport else Nicole David would’ve won a gold for us already!
August 17th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Yep Gallivanter…Squash and Nicole is the first sport that excel in world level for a while now…Isn’t Nicole got her ‘Datuk’ already? Correct me if I’m wrong…so, Lab Papa, you should show the jipunese, Nicole punya achievement…As for Chong Wei, I’m all out for him to win the first Malaysia GOLD medal…

i felt sorry for lee, but lin dan was too strong in his own home. Maybe in london 2012 your 1st gold will be coming..
anyway i’m so proud that markis kido/ hendra setiawan able to break china domination in badminton, and tribute a gold medal for independence day celebration.
Happy Independence day for INDONESIA and MALAYSIA
JAYA SELALU!!!

@McDONALD -
Yep.. Just not Chong Wei day. Lin Dan is too powerful that night. I’m sure Chong Wei will beat him on the next meeting.
Oh ya, congrats to the double. I watched them beat the hell of the chinese. They deserve the medal. But as always… China is strong especially with home advantage. Congrats to them once again.
Happy Independence to Indonesia and Malaysia too. Thanks for dropping by. Come again Rahmad
