Lin Dan Gold Medal in Badminton Men Singles Final!

Yes, Lin Dan from China won with the score of 21 - 12 and 21 - 8 in the Men’s Singles Badminton Final. Nothing more to say, Lin Dan is just too fast and too powerful. He can read every move Lee Chong Wei made. It is just not the Malaysian day.

To Lin Dan, congrats. To Lee Chong Wei and Malaysia, silver is good enough. Sad day to the whole Malaysian people but it is fated Lin Dan is still the man to beat. He is after all the World Number One and he is the Olympic Champion. Salute to Lin Dan.

I’m speechless. What more to say? Badminton is not the main topic after this. Might as well talk about the strollers, right? As in my dialect said, “Kivaa poh guno montok dogo!”

Lin Dan is clearly pure class, shows why he’s world number 1 by a mile. Chong Wei didn’t even put up a fight and made some unforced errors, I think he couldn’t handle the pressure. Sigh.

Yup, Chong Wei didn’t actually put up a fight last night. From the way I saw it, he raised his white flag up way before the match even started.
Oh well, at least we have a medal to bring back.

@Gallivanter -
Yes Dan. Lin Dan was really at the top of his performance. Sadly, our man carried too much responsibility. But we have Silver. We still have to be proud of his achievement. Beaten by no.1 is ok bah.
@chegu carol -
Chegu - WE have a Silver. Thats already a record. Kesian him.. totally outplayed. Sad but still, he’s our man. We need to be proud of him.
@nimrodjo -
nimrodjo - understood brother. I was too.
@kaDusMama -
Kadusmama - yes. we have to think positive. We have the Silver. We have to be proud of what he had achieved for us. He still our man. He is our hero in badminton same like Nichol in Squash.. but she’s no.1 different story.

@JACQ -
What to do JACQ. Only Chong Wei knows what really happen. We cannot blame him for anything. He’s the only one with Silver now. he is still our top representative.

I’m a Chinese Badminton Lover, I saw that match also.
I can still remember how excited we are to waitting for that competition.
Lee did well, he had killed LEE Hyun II and standed on the toppest match floor. The silver Medal is also very weight, not everyone can get it. I like his play.
I’ll keep my eyes on him from now on.

@jazzi -
Hi there jazzi. Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, I and the rest of Malaysian love our Lee Chong Wei. No doubt about that. Silver is already a record to our country and yes its quite heavy im sure
Yep, when Lee is ready, he can beat anyone out there. He beaten Lin Dan before but just happened Lin Dan was the better player that night and we salute him for that. He is indeed a class above that night. Being no.1 is not easy but he proven that he is still the one to be beaten on any badminton competition his in.
Next time for Chong Wei.

I agree with others that Chong Wei didn’t really put up his best performance against Lin Dan that night, I always thought the game will at least for an hour.

The match seemed kind of one-sided towards China, exciting game nonetheless.
