Servay Penampang is on FIRE!

Yes, our Hyper Servay Penampang is on FIRE! Well ‘was’ the right word of course for those so concern with proper english 
I was there with wife to witness the whole thing. So sad our ‘beloved’ supermarket is probably now just a burned down building.
We were having our good time, eating our “Bah Kut Teh” at Towering when everyone keep pointing to one specific location, the Penampang Baru shoplots. Even the tauke also busy watching the fire and smoke. Hated it so much my dinner kena kacau, I also go busy body to know whats happening. They said it’s the Servay Supermarket. At first I did not believe it because, well, no way bah. However later on, confirmed by many that it was indeed the Hyper Servay Penampang is on fire that time. Confirmed again something was on fire when six fire trucks racing to the scene, indicating must be something big. The shot above, not so clear, a scene only seen in the discovery channel like a mountain is on fire, erupted thousand feet up to the sky. So spectacular.
Damn my english is so poor I can’t describe this event as clearer as possible. Well, hope the blur images can at least describe it. Still, I am glad, from the staffs that also stand outside the building, told us that no one is hurt and that everyone already ushered out of the building. One of them said, the actual fire was actually a small one inside the back store. Sadly, he said, they could not put stop on it.. ended with the whole building became the victim. So sayang all the clothes, the foods and definitely the most wasted one are the milks for my kids. 
Despite the many polices there guarding the road, preventing public to go in to the Penampang Baru Shoplots, still many managed to penetrate the area. Well, me too of course. Hahaha. A true blogger need this story mah. Hahaha.
While my better half busy calling her newspaper reporter, me busy snapping pictures here and there. Sadly, with my cheap camera with poor ISO, only these 3 shots worthy to be put up here. Sigh. So now, probably happylah the other supermarkets around Penampang. Sigh.

or n hubby forgot to mentioned that we went there 2x coz Josh wanted to see the fire..n guess what he said when he saw d fire? “Alah mommy, my Josh toys there..alah…kena bakar oledy.” This son ah, only think of his toys only *shake head*

I heard about this last night through Bengodomon. It saddens me to see this, I love Sabah and this actually saddens me. Sigh.

ya sian oh staff dorang tu…kedai mesti ada insurance kan…hopefully they kena redeploy to the other branches…

Daniel - Well, there’s one shop big one too near Servay burned down a stationery shop.. last year. also lagi teruk.. but that one kena sabotaged. lagi sedih juga tu.

he Roof the roof the roof is on fire..! kasian..but anyhow….i bet the insurance claim really gives headache to the insurance service provider hahaha.. abis those maggi..abis my favorite cheese ahaha..and…bawang bawang..keropok..and all the machine there…

shirley - yalah.. i actually cannot believe until now all this happening. Banyak memory there of coz. The best place to shop, so near the hse some more.

Tia pernah shopping sana, tapi ni survey kira one of Penampang landmark kan.

lab Papa - yes..kira landmark lah ni. Semua orang penampang should know where is this servay located.
Insurance.. tatap millions tu.. but claimable after police finished their reports. Mana tau.. ada hanky panky

Terkezut I when I read the paper this morning. Sian the workers.. but Servay Putatan will be opening soon, perhaps dorang kena hantar keja sana tu.

I was also shocked when I read Daily Express this morning…Fortunately, no one is hurt…only the new worker which they sent to training will be sent to Servay Putatan…so those workers from Servay Penanpang, have to look for job else where…maybe they can try to look at Giant…just a suggestion…

sia sampai2 ja di kuching trus sibuk2 dtg calls kasi tau Servay terbakar….i didnt expect the worst until i saw yesterday’s newspaper this morning. Habis bah pula kan…adui…

Ahhh…servay. So banyak memory sini. Shopped here before,lost a gilrfriend here before (Car accident and didn’t survive,famous juga that cerita tu)sigh….
Anyway, thank God no one was injured except the bangunan.

Wah!! mahal gambar2 nih.. caught on the spot!! I feel sorry too for the workers/staff/family of servay penampang, kesian jgk dorg, hope they’ll get some insurance/compensation all covered. During the fire I was at home cuti-cuti sakit suffering from heavy fever+flu+sort throat, lucky got Papaj’s pic here.. I love the last pic, yg ada mata org kana censored black box tuh!..
p/s: Josh! ask mummy + daddy to go KK Toys la now..
