Christmas, family, Kota Kinabalu, Leisure, Sabah December 13th, 2008 | Viewed 1,825 views

No choice, have to say the word 1Borneo again. No other title suitable than that to represent what I want to share here. 1Borneo plus Christmas Decoration plus Castle and plus my kids and wife, sure interesting pictures story for me to blog here – even though I got some other things more “profitable” to do ;)

Okay. We went to 1Borneo after my work, meaning night time after 7pm. As usual, we could not go just by ourselves, so we “force” our auntie to tag along. She actually excited to go out. Well, who’s not after the full day taking care the twins and my hyper Monkey King Josh. Hahaha. So off we go.

Father Son Project

Hobby, personal, Son Josh, tools December 7th, 2008 | Viewed 831 views

I don’t know what to put as the title but I guess this is after all a real father and son project. Of course the father do all the work and he just poke, dig, twist here and there with my screw drivers and rc tools. Still a memory worth to be mention in this Papa’s blog. :D

Okay I let the picture run your imagination on what project I’m talking about. If after seeing all of them you still don’t know … well, just slap your face or pinch your hand for not paying attention. LOL. Just kidding :P

Selamat Hari Raya Haji

celebration, Hari raya, Holidays December 7th, 2008 | Viewed 920 views

Ya bah. Selamat Hari Raya Haji Aidil Adha to all Muslims and to whoever celebrating it. May all Hajis, Hajjahs and Haji-Hajjahs to be, celebrate tomorrow Monday 8 December with happiness.

Hre from Wiki:

Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The devil tempted Ibrahim by saying he should disobey God and spare his son. As Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God intervened and instead provided a lamb as the sacrifice. This is why today all over the world Muslims who have the means to, sacrifice an animal (usually a goat or a sheep), as a reminder of Ibrahim’s obedience to God. The meat is then shared out with family, friends (Muslims or non-Muslims), as well as the poor members of the community. (Islam names Ishmael as the son who was to be sacrificed, whereas the Judeo-Christian name Isaac).

Eid al-Adha is one of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from the Quran.[1] (Muslims in Iran celebrate a third, non-denominational Eid.) Like Eid el-Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon (khuá¹ba).

Eid al-Adha annually falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar. The festivities last for two to three days or more depending on the country. Eid al-Adha occurs the day after the pilgrims conducting Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.

A very interesting read up there. I don’t know how to wish you all but I guess enough to say I think about it and all the sacrifice the animal have to make. It is indeed a Festival of Sacrifice. For info, I know a little bit about it because my own big sister is a real Hajjah who made her pilgrimage years ago. So indirectly, every time there’s a Hari Raya Celebration, we celebrate it too – until full stomach :D
