Home Improvement Again – Plumbing Work!

Just another off day of mine doing things for my home. Honestly, it’s not my wish to spend my seldom off day doing, working, sweating over this home improvement thing. A job definitely for a qualified plumber!

However, as the owner of the house, if you do not do, you suffer the consequences. In this case, our damn tank leaked from its location above the ceiling and all the water running down on our beautiful wall and through our lovely wall lamp. Cilaka!
Well, that’s what I thought. I thought my tank leaked and later I thought if not the tank bottom, must be the water stopper thing, either its pressure washers worn out or something. Actually the water overflowed through one of the opening at the top! There is no hole on the side or at the bottom. It was the stopper failure to stop the water in combination with the weak pipe that has no support making the tank wall where the water entered bent or collapse outward allowing the stopper to keep allowing the water to drip in.

Modification: I hammer the stopper handle more downward angle so to ensure the water is way way down the limit and guess what, I tied an extra electric tubing found everywhere on the ceiling left by the electrician (they lazy to throw away!) vertically and horizontally across the main water input pipe. This is to ensure the pipe will not move backward or lag downward caused by the pressure of the water. Simple solution and what a genius I am! Hahahaha. Noticed, I just use cable leftovers and even the astro cable.

Another look before I went down and close the ceiling for good.

Satisfaction guaranteed. I sweated a lot. A good fat burner I tell you. being up there all alone it was pretty scary at first and damn hot. Imagine, I had to wait for the tank to fill up and really ensured the stopper and water really stop pouring in as it should then I can come down. In the future I will install a plug up there so i can bring a fan and real light. But for now… I am a good plumber for hire! Anyone? Hahaha.

i tabik spring you oh.
in fact, i have this mind set that head of the house/man of the house must at least know something about fixing things at home. if not everything, at least a little. so that no need to rely on others to fix things at home.
