Would you buy an established PR5 site?

Advertising, Azmeen, Cool Site, Google, review October 23rd, 2007 | Viewed 1,430 views

Would you? Page Ranking 5 site is a very high value domain nowadays. Especially after the downfall of so many “used-to-be PR5″ domains. To be honest, I would buy too. Why not? Now, before we go into details why should or should not, I want to explain a bit on the Page Ranking term. Well, if you are not as techy as most of the people out there, do not worry, we are in the same boat. Let me explain it to you in my very simple day-to-day English.

PageRank Explained

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.” Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages’ relative importance.

Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don’t match your query. So, Google combines PageRank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines dozens of aspects of the page’s content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it’s a good match for your query.

Now, that is not from me obviously. That is from Google Technology page. Who else to explain better than the creator of Page ranking itself. Ha-ha. :D

Well for me, I know this one thing. The more higher related ranking sites linking to your site, the higher your page, site, will be. I probably wrong but my blog live on this belief.

Anyway, do not talk about my blog. Let us talk about the real deal here. I just found out Heritage-tech.net owner, Azmeen has the thought of selling his HTNet, would you buy it? I believe if you are into techy thing, you should. The blog has tonnes of useful information. Now, the main question is how much is it. How are you going to put value to HTNet without asking the owner himself how much he already spent his valuable time and sweat on it. Not to mention, the cost of running it – paying the domain name and hosting. I am sure it is a lot. Let me quote from his about page:

I’ve been maintaining HTNet for God knows how long

To those who thinks $5,000 is enough to buy his HTNet, well think again. I have this interesting page in my bookmark, that give an estimation value of site based on the Technorati. I take the honor of checking http://www.heritage-tech.net/ and guess what how much the blog worth? $42,905.04. Yes it is at USD$42,905.04. Wow, that is pretty damn nice number. See, HTNET IS NO CHEAP PR5 BLOG AND IT VISIBLE IN ITS VALUABLE CONTENT.

On the other hand, you can always ask Azmeen directly if he really selling it. You never know you may get a discount. Well, even he gives you 50% discount, it is still a lot at around USD$21,452. Yaikkksss. That is a lot man.

Oh ya, to check the value of your blog, check Dane Carlson’s page here.

Gratitude posting is a must now. I have to write this before anything falls from the sky and from BigG. I hope I have not offended anyone during my blog’s life and I just want to say Thanks Very Much for supporting me. This is going to be a sticky post for at least 2 days for all my readers, friends and supporters. I hope the sticky plugin works. :D

Gratitude is the substance of a heart ready to show appreciation, or thankfulness; it is not simply an emotion, which involves a pleasant feeling that can occur when we receive a favor or benefit from another person but rather the combination of a state of being and an emotion; often accompanied by a desire to thank them, or to reciprocate for a favour they have done for you.

Gratitude @ wiki

So you see, from the meaning at Wiki, that is what I am feeling now towards you all in the list. If you happened not to be in the list, please forgive me, I am sure I have missed it. Please leave a comment so I know :) (Do not be shy or embarrassed, I’m forgetful now, please remind me all the time).

When you are alone at home and you have nothing to do, what is the best way to relax your mind? Watching your favorite DVD? Play computer games? Read your long abandoned novel book? Or simply lay down and sleep and only to wake up at around 6pm in the evening? :D

Business, Cool Site June 20th, 2007 | Viewed 700 views

Ever thought of going online with your current brick and mortar businesses? Would you rather have your customers coming just from your area or from all over the world? This question is specifically targeted to those businesses having to store and displaying their products using the usual old way, on the racks. Now, I can safely say the answer will be the obvious ‘Yes’; you want to have the online presence. Yes you want to have customers buying not only from your area or country but all across the globe where the internet provides no boundary. And of course yes, you want to have the proper tool to display and manage your product and even be able to do the safe transaction without any skill needed and security concern.

How To Travel If Nowhere to Stay?

Cool Site, travel June 15th, 2007 | Viewed 643 views

The topic says it all. How can you just travel without knowing where to stay? Unless, you said, you want to go ‘camping’ only and that no need a proper hut, rental house or hotel. Even that, you still need proper permission and authorization from the owner of the area. Sometimes, you need to pay and that can spoil the fun if you found the information too late, after you had set up your camp.

Now, that applies for backpackers with adventure in their minds but what about to those who likes to travel, stay warmer, cleaner and sometimes in style? For sure you need to find all this informations as quick and as easy as possible. Well, who’s not, right? Well, if you happen to travel searching for the ‘Windmill’, the lovely never ending canals that goes straight into the city centre, the laid back people, the awesome architecture and the old picturesque buildings. Search no more, Amsterdam Hotels is the only answer. With the history of Amsterdam founded at the late 12th century starting as a small fishing village only and now as the largest city in the Netherlands. It make perfect sense to book your hotel there and start enjoying your stay.

Whether you are looking for the cheap hotel or the most luxurious, five star deluxe hotel like the Hotel de l’Europe Amsterdam, they have it all.

Interestingly, if you are a big fan of the popular Spanish Football Team, why not just stay at the Barcelona Hotels. With their featured hotel near the Olympic area of Montjuic at sight and their free internet access from inside your own room. I bet you can blog all day long just being in the room. Now that is cool. :D

Now, if you are the type that really want to know the old history of the Gladiators in the Colosseum, you might as well stay at the Rome Hotels. With their famous painting and sculptures from Michelangelo, Raphael, Bottecelli, Pinturicchio and Belini to name a few, spread all over the city and their famous Ferrari car. There is no reason why you think otherwise. I, for one, definitely want to be there for the next round of F1 Racing. ;)
