Hahaha. What a title. Well last few days during my Happy Harvest Festival / Kaamatan Festival days in Keningau, I admit, I eat a lot!!!!!
I can say, too many times, too many lots lots of lots words should be use in describing my eating spree in Keningau. Maybe I do really need the cholesterol treatment that they been talking about!!!! With all those yummy foods and never-thought-I-could-eat-recipe, there is for sure my cholesterol level is higher than before. Probably above the border for a body size like me.
Crazy. I was full all the time. Interestingly, I seldom visit the toilet to let all the waste out. I use the toilet just for the normal pee. Meaning? Meaning all the food that gone inside my stomach is fully digested and absorbed by my body!!!! Goshhh … I know I gained weight. I do not need to check from the scale. As they say in Malay local language, “biarkan lah ia berlalu”. Let it be bygone, something like that in English lah. Hahaha.

Happy Harvest Festival to all Sabahans and to all Kadazan Dusun celebrating it. Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan as we say it in Kadazan language. Hope no one left undrunk, hehehe. Well, do not drink and drive ok. Just get drunk and stay put. Haha.
I love having these few holidays with my families. Even though I had to applied for leaves from my work but I don’t care because this holidays are very important to me – to spend valuable times with the love ones. Nearly every of my families are in Keningau. Out of town holiday is always a welcome atmosphere. Traveling Friday 11:30am and reach Keningau’s Bro-In-Law’s house exactly at 1:30pm. Not bad for 2 hours journey following the old Bukit Mas road
To cut short, we have so many things to do but most of the time, we just eat eat eat. “Tuhau” is a must for us Kadazan. Totally power appertizer! Haha. I believe by end of this holiday, I am pretty sure I will get two extra KG (2kg) to bring home and be proud about it. Hahaha.
It will be fun to have this outdoor electric grill for our once-in-a blue-moon delicacy recipe – The Tasty Spicy Brinjal with Eel! “Yummylicious”
[ i will update with picture later on - make sure you come back ok
] LOL.
Ok, got to go … next Aramaiti session is waiting for me – got to please the In-Laws you know

This Kaamatan or Harvest Festival, I will be in Keningau, not for the rv camping, but really staying in one big house there … belonging to my bro-in-law. I will probably be drinking, Aramaiti till the sun down and up again.. while playing dart in the same time.. my old time hobby. My Bro-in-law is one of the dart champions in Keningau, you know
bah till then, Kopivosion Do Tadau Kaamatan [ngamkah spelling?] to you all!!! Hahaha.
For info, I’m on Surf Seven Network Server now.
Happy Harvest Festival – Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan!

OH YES! Happy Harvest Festival or in Kadazan, Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan or again, in our Bahasa Melayu, Selamat Hari Pesta Menuai!.
Starting tomorrow, 30th and 30th May, 2007, it will be the most anticipated Public Holiday for us Kadazandusun and Murut communities. Well, for me, I have to apply two(2) blardy annual leaves for it. Geez, my company ah. You hate it, you lose, you love it, they squash you like the fly. Oh yea. I must have love my company coz I already been there like 11-12 years already. Hahaha.
Anyway, this Harvest Festival Celebration is actually to mark or remind us of the end of Paddy Harvesting season and it is when our kadazandusun and Murut people offer their thanksgiving to the GODS for the bountiful harvest. The celebration is unique to Sabah only. Now, to be honest it is The Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan or Harvest Queen Competition that really makes everyone waiting for. The story said that The Huminodun, the Harvest Queen, is the representative of a young lady who had sacrificed herself so that our kadazandusun and muruts have endless food. Its a very touchy story and therefore, meaningful celebration for us. Not to mention to those girls, ladies, who are competing for the title of Huminodun. By becoming the queen, you indirectly become the saviour of all Kadazandusun, saviour to all natives of Sabah. For me, it is actually more meaningful than the Ms. Universe. Yeaaaaaa.
