Tip Of Borneo |Simpang Mengayau

Borneo, family, Kudat, Sabah, Sabahan, Son Josh, travel November 22nd, 2007 | Viewed 1,628 views

Just want to share a bit on our trip to Tip Of The Borneo, Simpang Mengayau, Kudat. I have not good in words but I hope my pictures can explain a little bit of what a wonderful sight of Simpang Mengayau, Tip of Borneo is. We went to Kudat when Josh was only 5 months old and our car was only 6 months old. Believe it or not, I never been to Kudat and especially to this Simpang Mengayau. Nervertheless, I’m an adventurous person when comes to traveling. As long as in the map, I can find one. I even bring my own compass just to make sure. Ha-ha. However, to those never been to kudat, it is actually not so hard. There are signs everywhere and being the “kepochee” person also good. Go ask the people for direction. So far, I never encountered any Kudat people that don’t smile. They are friendly and willingly pointed you to the right direction. So, to them, I take my hat off. :)

Here just before going down, on the car park.

We stayed at the Kudat Golf and Marina Resort. The best part was, we are the only one there. The lounge, the playground and the best of all,m the swimming pool. All for us, just us. That is the beauty of going holiday on weekdays. We used to say this kind of holiday is just for the “Diamonds” :D

That’s all from me. It’s 4:30am you know. Crazy!

How to travel in style

Luggage, travel November 18th, 2007 | Viewed 620 views

I am curious to know how you all do the traveling especially if you are bringing your whole family? I am talking at least five persons in total. How do you package everything and still travel in style, that is the question here.

If you are traveling by road, I do not think there is a problem there. You can just dump everything onto the bonnet, in between the chairs, everywhere. As long as the luggage in and you are in too, it is considered done deal. However, what about traveling by air? Using the airplane for traveling is not that simple when comes to putting every needs inside the luggage. It is definitely going to be more than one luggage. I can guarantee you that if there is a woman in the group. Read the rest of this entry »

Do you let your elders travel alone?

Insurance, travel October 12th, 2007 | Viewed 757 views

I seldom travel that is for sure. I am more a home stay person especially after the marriage. With children around, Internet and blogging combine, my day is full at least for the 22 hours. Life can be boring if I allow it to get into my head. That is why I blog, hop around, meeting online friends and just make myself busy searching for better deal out there.

On the other hand, thanks to GOD, my parents do travel a lot. This is of course can make them happy. When they are happy, they are healthy. If not enough the frequent driving up and down to their kids at the city, they also travel over the sea, abroad. Of course, they are not alone. They are already in the late 60s and 80s. My elder sister usually has the luxury bringing them here and there. Even with her company, I still worry about their movement. I always call to ask them their whereabouts. My journey back home in style

Cruises, Feri Malaysia, travel September 26th, 2007 | Viewed 705 views

I am in a roll here. The previous post makes me wonder, fly back to Kuching where I studied my long forgotten qualification, Accountancy. Yes, I am a qualified accountant with background of auditing, kicking other employees who misused company’s money and assets. I had my fair share of hate-you friends and of course including those you-better-don’t-come-here-again friends. I did all that before I am stuck in this computer dept for more than 12 years of which no single paper to show that I know a thing about this wonderful creation, the personal computer. That is the true story of me. Now you know.

Where do you like to travel this year?

Paid Link, Payu2Blog, travel July 25th, 2007 | Viewed 588 views

Traveling away from your usual local favorite is not always the best way to support your local tourism industry. You definitely not want to do that on the Visit Malaysia Year 2007. For a Malaysian, you just have to support your own hot spots.

There are many beautiful places to visit in Malaysia and one of my favorite is the Nexus Karambunai in Tuaran Sabah. I can safely say it is the heaven on earth resort. It is not cheap that is for sure but that is expected from a five star resort. I just cannot explain it here how good this place is. What more from a person with no journalism background like me.

On the other hand, just being honest here, the sound of being in the local resort not as exciting as saying you spend your time in the foreign country like for example at the Pigeon Forge vacation rentals in the smoky mountains. Staying inside the log cabin facing out the vast green trees seems to be the right remedy out of the busy life you had. So yes, why not. When I have the cash, a million perhaps, I will definitely go to such place and just forget everything.
